Resident Evil (2026)

Zach Cregger’s new Resident Evil movie was a great watch. It made me feel like I’d been dropped into a Resident Evil game, not as the hero but as the NPC Bryan. The wrong person, in the wrong place, at the wrong time! The visuals, intentional or not, really added to that feeling and kept me hooked from beginning to end.

The ending felt a bit deflating, though. SpoilersI’d been rooting for Bryan throughout, and I still am. I hope there’s more to his story than being turned into the next film’s boss for someone else to take down. I’m really holding out hope that we’ll see more of him, hopefully cured. I was quite invested by that point, so the ending left me wanting more.

Still, I had a great time watching it, and it feels like a solid new starting point for the Resident Evil franchise. Let’s hope this is the first of many more movies to come. SpoilersAnd let’s hope it isn’t Bryan’s last chapter.
